Achieve by affirmations

Affirmations or assertions help us to derive whatever we want in life be it experiences, achievements or accumulation of materials.
It is believed that telling ourselves continuously that we can achieve what we dream of increases the chances for it to be realised.

Affirming ourselves regularly about something helps us to believe in it.
This belief helps us to maintain our focus, enthusiasm and confidence. For example, a student who affirms to himself that he can do better in an examination will constantly work for it.
He will have the confidence that he can make it.
The enthusiasm will not allow him to give up putting in his efforts.

However, there are some things one should keep in mind to practice affirmation, they are:

- Affirmations are positive statements. Hence tell yourself what you want and not what you do not want. For example,
you are competing for a post with one of your colleagues. Say to yourself that you will get it but not that he will lose it.

- Use present tense to affirm yourself about something.
For example you wish you own a car and drive it. Tell yourself that you actually have a car and are enjoying the drive.

- Write down your statements on a paper to enhance their impact. A written statement has multiple effects on our brain.
It helps us to remember the issues better. Also, our emotions and feelings related to the subject are intensified.

- Repeat them as many times as possible. This will help you in remembering them without getting deviated.

As we practice this we develop a positive way to think.
It has an enormous effect on the way we perceive and accept changes in our life.
With experience, we can apply the practice of affirmations to the minutest things in our life and achieve what we want.
